Mrs. Al Mohler on Immodesty

“Don’t blame the men around you who happen to be unfortunate enough to be within sight and say, ‘They need to get their minds out of the gutter.’  Proverbs 30 and verse 20 says, ‘This is the way of an adulterous woman. She eats and wipes her mouth and says, “I have done no wrong.”

  1. OUCH!

My husband and I have a strong desire to see godly women embrace biblical modesty as the beautiful thing it is, but instead, we are vilified and avoided by many Christian women AND some men over this issue. (The “AND some men” part of that sentence is disturbing, to say the least.) We have read this verse over and over in Proverbs before, but never associated it with modesty.

Thank you for posting, because we hope to use it someday to help women (and men) see that this is serious in God’s eyes and to embrace beautiful modesty. 🙂

Having read this, what do you have to say about it?
