Blessings in Disguise

Problems. Pain. Suffering. Trouble. Trials. Doors closing. Windows closing. Accusations. Slander. Rejection. Friends turn away. Family turns away. Loneliness. Brokenness. Loss of vision. The end of security. The end of a dream. The end of success. Loss of hope in self. Loss of everything.

What we perceive as loss is often actually gain and proof that we are truly sons and daughters of God.

Romans 8: 28,  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 16: 33, These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

1 Peter 4: 12-13, Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

James 1: 2, My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

James 1: 12, Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

1 Peter 5: 8-9, Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.

Romans 5: 10-12, Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
