DISCLOSURE: I received a copy of this book for free from LitFuse Publicity Group for purposes of review. I was not required to give a positive review, only a fair and honest one. My opinions are my own.

Anna, thank you so much for taking the time to read my book and for offering your honest reaction. I’m sorry that you felt that the material was occult, because of course I am aware of the Bible’s admonition against occult practices and never meant to suggest they are okay. Instead I meant Audrey’s gift to be a metaphor for the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives, enabling us to be compassionate toward one another, even our enemies. You are not the first reader to wonder what I meant by giving Audrey such a gift. I won’t consume your blog explaining, but if you or others are interested, you can read my explanation on my blog here: http://erinhealyblog.blogspot.com/2011/09/is-my-heroine-psychic.html Thank you again for opening an important discussion. May God bless and keep you. –Erin Healy
Erin, Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate you taking the time to write a post explaining your stance and what was meant by your book. I enjoyed many aspects of the book and see great potential for your growth and development as a novelist. It bothers me that I might have misjudged the meaning behind the story or written too harshly about the book. Having read your explanation of Audrey’s gift I am removing my review and will rewrite it in the future. For now, I am posting your explanation on my blog. Thank you again. May God bless, keep, guide and direct you ~ Anna
Anna, it wasn’t necessary to take down your review. I didn’t feel you were too harsh or guilty of misjudging. Each reader brings his or her own perception to a story, and these are valid. But I thank you so much for your willingness to talk about it. That’s one of the most important parts (for me) of writing and reading. Grace and peace, Erin
Thank you but taking it down was my decision. I want to go back over the book, having your insights on why you wrote as you did, and try to see it through new eyes. That’s just how I feel Christians ought to treat each other. Thanks again. God bless and keep you~ Anna
